When Hitler committed suicide the Nazis were already defeated. What we don't want is to capture someone like bin Laden alive. Then he will become a martyr for his followers. We've been told for 5 years that we need to give up our freedom and allow the government to invade our homes so we can be secure and protected from evil. What excuse will they give us when all the bad guys are caught?
