Agree, Emily. Are you familiar with the murder or the little girl, Lisa Steinberg, in New York in 1989? Her cocaine addicted mother, Hedda Nussbaum, was never accused of child abuse and has been working as a speaker for abused women and women's rights. Blech! She wrote a book and was on Larry King one night. I wish I could have gotten through on the phone. I'd want to ask why HER picture was on the book she was promoting with her picture on the cover about HER pain and HER suffering. She kept saying she was a victim too, which I know is true. However, it was her job to protect her 2 children. Her little girl was left in a pool of blood to die and she did nothing.... [ More ]

Cases similar to this pop up every so often. One wonders how many kids are subjected to inhumane treatment? It's a shame. It's worse than a shame.

It was the in-laws fault for freeing the boy and not the father's fault for imprisoning the boy. Another example of the current trend in denying responsibilty for one's own actions. This man should be kept in a similar "cage" and only allowed one bathroom break a day for the same period of time he did it to his kid. This horrendous treatment of our children is abominable. Makes me sick to my stomach. I'd like to personally beat the living crap out of this "father".... [ More ]
