Your comment touched me in a strange way, Shalini. I started to think about what John Lennon wrote. "Imagine there's no country...nothing to live or die for...." When you used the word "foreigner" I thought "but she's not a foreigner...she is part of us, a member of LP."

All I can say, as a foreigner, is that Bill Clinton is still a very respected and tremendously popular ex- president abroad.

True, but not so sure about the numbers, Mike. I know that the Republican party often favors the wealthy, but there is a lot of money supporting Democrats as well. Look at Hollywood and the Rock Stars who are multi-millionaires and also Democrats. Ed Asner, George Clooney, Alec Baldwin, Barbra Streisand, Martin & Charlie Sheen. I also know many Republicans and devout Christians who are very successful business people who don't like the way our country has been run during the Bush regime. Our country has been so divided that it's no longer a fight between Republicans and Democrats, but for freedom and our unalienable rights! It is ironic that a man who preaches and campaigned for a strong morality wants to take away that very thing. What could be more immoral than to violate someone's right to privacy, right to choose and right to live without fear?... [ More ]

there is a feeling of helplessness among most people right now.that is unless your in the upper tax bracket.boy those rich people love bush and they don't know what its like to have to suffer and do without.the well off do tend to vote republican.

Bill Clinton was far from perfect. However, the way people feel is a good way to assess an administration and I remember everyone singing "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow, don't stop it will soon be here...." With the people now running the country, I often wonder if there will even be a tomorrow.

back in '98 tennessee and arkansas played one of the best college football games ever which tennessee finally won.then tennessee went on to win the national championship in football.arkansas also won a college basketball championship when bill was president.clinton-gore brought good luck and great things to all.
