This article is a perfect example of the bu11sh1t propaganda machine of the left. UN-populism is what the left has ruling by a jackboot heel of a government placed firmly on the necks of the populace (the people). Communism, socialism, and fascism are how the left practices UN-populism, rational people realize and understand that 100's of millions more have died under UN-populism than populism. Populism has been twisted by left into a bad thing but populism's primarily used to be defined as:

a believer in the rights, wisdom, or virtues of the common people.
