I have seen with my own eyes, how branches of the government have wasted money at the end of the year. My squadron's budget was more than the missile wing's budget. The commander would spend some of our money on project for the wing. I was asked to send 3 of my people TDY as extras on trips. They were not the normal field surveyors that had experience in those areas. They were not contributing anything to accomplishing the job. My squadron commander ordered himself a $10,000 desk. I asked the first Sergeant, why was the Colonel wanting to spend all this money. He told me that he and the budget director had requested and received extra money, over $500,000 and it was going to be left over. I am talking about a squadron with 100 personnel. I can imagine how Trump will cut budgets. That will not set good with the LIBERALS.... [ More ]
