<br />No where did I see that federal funds were used in the construction of the stadium. Maybe I don't understand how municipal bonds work, but I've never seen anything to suggest there are matching federal funds, just that any interest earned is free from federal income tax...which is NOT the definition of a subsidy. (We all get tax breaks, individuals and corporations alike) No, I think the entire cost is born out by the owner(s) of the teams plus whatever local entities put into it. <br... [ More ]

Thanks Sully. I suppose those government bonds were originally issued on the basis of increased revenue to counties where it's built. I believe the crisis they brought upon themselves will necessitate a rethinking of how all of this should be done in the future, if it's done.

WHY in the world are they getting subsidies? If they need money so badly take some of the money they pay those over rated crybabies.
