Well, This is an update, if you really want a blender that might last longer and be a lot more trouble free you really have to pay more money and get a Vitamix even if it is (Certified Refurbished) blender, after all $259.00 is cheaper than about $500 + for a new one.

Save money and get:

In the long or short run the Blendtec and the Oster blenders will fail and quit working, maybe not so with the Vitamix.

The Vitamix blenders are said to be the best blenders of all, but they are very expensive.

So I will show a few alternatives.

First, the cheapest of them that might be good enough:

Amazon also has it, but there is a problem with that blender, if you ever need a Replacement Gaskets For Oster Pro 1200 Blender Oster never has them, Oster is always out of it, it is almost like Oster doesn't want to sell that part:

In other words, if you ever need that part you would have to make it yourself, seems like some people have done that, you would need to get slicon or gasket material or maybe some type of plastic material and then make the part yourself, regular gasket material might work, when you finish making it, it might not be a pretty looking gasket, but it might work good enough, otherwise you would need to keep on trying until you make it good enough to work O.K.

The outside part of the gasket is 3 3/4 inches a lot bigger than your regular blender gasket.

That blender might work better than the Magic Bullet blenders and also better than some of Nutri Ninja blenders.

And it is a lot cheaper than those, it might also work better than some of the very expensive power blenders or at least as good or almost as good for an small fraction of the cost, of course for heavy use it might not last as long as an expensive blender.

They all blenders do make a lot of noise.

Blending is better than juicing for most people and for most of the time, but you do need a power blender.
