The answer to that question is simple, we are still fighting two wars and soldiers are still dying. And as long as the US is engaged in foreign wars and soldiers are dying, we have nothing to celebrate.

He is obsessed with how dictators and communists leaders parade their military and weaponry as a show of force. It would not be of any significants with a draft dodger 4 times. USA already praise their veterans several times a year, We have never had to boast about what capabilities that we have, the other countries already know. The millions that Trump wants to spend for selfish reasons can be better spent by helping veterans with job training, housing, drug treatment, and ptsd. We should be celebrating how we treat our veterans that sacrifice so much and ask for so very little. Having a parade to glorify yourself like some Fuhrer is an insult to veterans that served and are serving. As a Vietnam veteran, I would not go near such a farce.... [ More ]
