It's about time, made this recommendation a while back in a editorial- we have a number of paid standing armies basically doing military exercises and playing games. From them we could make up a regiment etc with Border training to hold the line at a lower cost then the wall. Consider for a moment that Military Intelligence which is the best of the best intelligence gathering department has been watching this caravan all along and knew they were coming.

For anyone annoyed at the size of the Omnibus bill, be thankful there are funds for the military to be deployed for unknown duration to the southern border. President Trump knew what he was doing when he signed it and why.

President Trump said on Tuesday that he will deploy U.S. troops along the southern border to guard against illegal crossings into the country until we can have a wall.

Until we can have a wall and proper security, we are going to be guarding our border with the military. That's a big step, Trump told reporters at the White House while sitting nearby Defense Secretary James Mattis.......
