Yes, Mike. That's what I was going to write at first. Years ago I knew a very wealthy person who claimed bankruptcy, but he still kept his large home and had lots of offshore property. It's possible he has money tied up in investments. Wasn't he a wealthy developer before he won PB? We often read about Hollywood celebrities who are "broke" or famous people like Trump who are bankrupt. One reason the federal laws changed recently is because too many people knew how to play that game too well. If he did lose everything he owned and all of his money, it's very tragic. I use the word tragic, because he seemed to be doing okay before he won all that money, except that he obviously always had a drinking problem.... [ More ]

This is indeed phenomenal. This guy has become the poster child for lottery winners of what NOT to do when you win.
