(Meaning IRS rules, which carry the weight and force of the law...which, IMHO, is unconstitutional, but that's a whole 'nuther argument) We can only give so much each year to individuals (without being taxed), so much to other people(in a sum that surpasses the yearly amount) in our lifetimes and while we aren't forbidden from donating our entire yearly income to a charity, we are limited in what we deduct....
