Yes, Emily. I agree. Maybe not in this world, but I know we all pay for our sins one way or another. I was just saying that I've learned that lying and cheating people is the way many people live day to day. Maybe I'm too concerned about doing the right thing when I'm really not hurting anyone. I just feel "skipping over the facts" is deception and deception is just as bad as lying. Obviously I need to find another type of job. Selling isn't always dishonest, but it sure has a high percentage of people who don't tell the whole story.... [ More ]

I don't want to always be the naysayer, but I'm not getting that result. There is a saying "No good deed goes unpunished" and that seems to be the way my life is going. I always try to do the right thing and it often bites me in the behind, but I'm still trying. I know some very dishonest, selfish people who will stab someone in the back to get ahead and they are very successful and have lots of money, friends, power, etc. Regarding Karma, I hope it doesn't exist. Once a psychic told me things about my "past lives" and she pretty much doomed me to pain and misery because of who I was before. Karma to me means no free will. If how our lives unfolded was based on previous good or bad acts, then there would be no point in trying to change, unless you care about the life after yours.... [ More ]
