I never thought we needed a contiguous wall, just in the more easily accessible crossings. The rest could be patrolled with border agents, drones and from strategically placed watchtowers.

Yes, but after studying the illustration very carefully assuming the vehicle is to scale, most home privacy fences aren't 40 feet high.
