Now that it's ok to be a vet I see a whole lot of people wearing Viet Vet hats, but when you ask them what unit and such, the lingo just ain't right. One clown said he was airborne so I asked him how many PLF's (parachute landing falls, a technique for when you land) he could put in a kit bag. Thanks Jarasan. Since he either lied about going or went along with the media narrative that he did, I would be interested if someone looked up his service record ... provided that is public information.

He was 17 yo. when he joined...21 when he left, he could not have been in Vietnam.

The Washington Post has had to issue yet another retraction after falsely claiming that far-left Native American activist Nathan Phillips served in the Vietnam War. He didn t but this lie was previously used to help raise money for a documentary about his life.

On Monday, the Washington Post quietly issued a correction to their story about the activist, saying that while he served in the Marines, he was never deployed to Vietnam.

Correction: Earlier versions of this story incorrectly said that Native American activist Nathan Phillips fought in the Vietnam War. Phillips served in the U.S. Marines from 1972 to 1976 but was never deployed to Vietnam, the update....
