Switzerland is often touted as a nation who is peaceful and remains neutral, but it seems to me that they merely allowed other countries to fight and die for their freedom, namely during WWII. Peace lovers throughout the World have worked tirelessly to maintain the peace. The United Nations peacekeepers settle the differences between feuding parties after they get sick of fighting each other.

Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria are in the news because they are not the norm. The rest of the World is enjoying Peace.

This has seen advancements in Medicine, Computers, and Artificial Intelligence AI . To name a few of the bright spots.
