Your odds for winning don't increase much at all by buying two tickets instead of one. It doubles your CHANCES - instead of having one chance in 280 or so million, you now have two chances in 280 million. Your odds of being killed driving to get your lottery tickets are much higher than that of actually winning the lottery.

I agree. The more numbers you play the greater the odds but it's still mostly luck. Mostly being at the right place at the right time. I remember years ago when I lived in New York I played 6 number Lotto game and after me another customer just wanted '1' quick-pick. The clerk misheard him and gave him a 5 dollar/5 line quick-pick. He was pissed as hell and I agree to by the 'mistake' and wouldn't you know I won and got 5 numbers and won about 1,700. RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME. I know how you feel.... [ More ]

This could really stir up some controversy but I feel like this anyway always have so decided to post it here too.

I do want to say I do love Lottery Post very much and read a lot on here...it's all very interesting but I want to know if I'm the only one on here that thinks luck plays a big part in winning!

I definitely think it's mostly luck winning at the lottery!

How can anyone predict numbers that are blowing around in a machine to tell you which ones

are going to come to the top for a winner?

AND computer picks are even worse!

Even knowing that for sure I still play...that's the crazy part!

Those who predict a lot of numbers (myself included with my fat cat list) are going to get lucky

and get some hits but the list had nothing to do with it...it was sheer luck!

There are 10 numbers 0123456789 when you mix them up some are going to get together

and hit for you and then you can take the credit with your predictions!

Don't want to bring anyone down because I still enjoy playing p3 and posting all kinds of things

on the NC thread hoping something will hit!

Also I like to keep it simple as I possibly can...all of the post above are way over my head!

But if you enjoy it keep it up maybe you will get rich one day if you haven't already gotten there!

I bought a cash 5 qp one time and got 4 of them right...the numbers were listed as they came

out of the machine and that was sheer luck nothing but sheer luck and just missed playing a cash 5 qp

back to get 4 right not long ago...should have done it but who knew...not me!
