I read an article the other day about the Texas State Fair and how they deep fry all kinds of stuff in the midway food booths. The writer must have been from NYC b/c he was shocked. Sheesh, they deep fry ice cream, so I dunno what's left after that, maybe deep frying a stick of butter? Paula Dean would be on board w/ that, I reckon.

I also think the best way to keep the meat moist is to brine it overnight or at least for a few hours before cooking. I've never done it for a turkey, but it works great on chicken. I would really like to deep fry a turkey; my nephews do it and my big sister says it's delicious. What is this world coming to! Just for the record I like white meat too and the way I cook my turkey it is always very moist...I baste it a lot after having rubbed a lot of butter beneath the skin & cook it on low heat or in a crock pot. ...most of the time I just cook a turkey breast!...oh no here we go again!....lol

Omg too funny. Yea, I suppose you are right again not only racist but sexual hahahahahahaha. And you are right about the cooking time, there is not a lot of leeway in cooking time in order to make the white meat cooked and juicy.

I decided that it probably wasn't a good idea to tell him that I had heard that on Turkish buses that the sign "Walk to the driver's rear." was literal. I think most people do like white meat, lejardin, but I'm a fan of the dark meat. Well I am not one of them. I love turkey and all the trimmings. Do you eat turkey? So before people come out of the woodwork, this is not a racist statement, but I like white meat.
