<br />That being said, I eat mostly prepared food. I once said to someone "I have so many preservatives in my body that I will last forever and never spoil!" One of these days I've got to dust off that gigantic juicer I bought online for a lot of money.

Well, at least the ones that lived through the entire 137 year test, still outlived "normal" people here in the US

All 17,000 japanese men in the study were specifically told that they could not learn the english language for the entire testing period.<br />The test lasted 137 years.

Genes have a big role too, but bad eating habits can override genes.<br />They did a study about japanese men who moved here to the U.S, and found that their overall risk for many physical problems increased because there eating habits changed.
