Original Blog Entry: Nickel Returns fetches Tons of Change !

Monday November 25,2019

I and a friend decided to get rid of our .05 cent returnables.We had mostly plastic bottles.

Off we went to Walmart.We observed a man and woman using the redemption machines.They had 4 shopping carts of returnables!

We drove to another grocery store.We carried in our returnables,and we see the store worker cleaning out all the redemption machines!

I said This never happened before,what is so hard about returning plastic bottles?,two times we are turned away,....back to Walmart

We went back to Walmart.No one near the redemption machines.I had $1.50 worth,my friend had $3.00 worth.

I went back to my truck and grabbed a receipt for one returnable I found in my pocket from 3 weeks ago.

That was it as far as the nickel deposits went.

Later another friend suggested we go out to a buffet restaurant.We ate,we split the bill--$15 dollars each.

I totally forgot tonight's drawing is the Lucky for Life Drawing.

I drove to a gas station,I was thinking of what number to pick for the Lucky Ball......nothing....

Just give me a few Quick Picks...

I got home and thought about all the cans and bottles the man and woman had.

And about myself cashing in $1.50 worth.

Also the bill at the buffer...$15.00 each.

AND i going to my truck to grab a single .05 cent receipt ....

Too many FIVES!.......

Then it hit me.....Seeing 4 shopping carts of?...................NICKELS!

FIVES! Too many!

If that was not a clear sign,how blind can I be?

$1.50?... 05 receipt ?...$15.00 bill?

I'm losing it,time to go see a shrink!

Did I win? No....

Would have I won if I thought about today's activities? YES!

I would have played #5 for the Lucky Ball

Also I would have played #1,#2,#3 because I said it earlier, This never happened before,what is so hard about returning plastic bottles?,two times we are turned away,....back to Walmart

Back to Walmart was the 3rd trip....

3 numbers with the Lucky Ball = $150.00!
