FloridaGirl, thanks for the feedback. I went to their website and they require that the hair be 12 inches long and not swept up off the floor. The actual full cut of hair was probably only 8 inches and it landed on the floor. The rest of his hair I cut with clippers and swept it all up and put it in a bag. They won't accept it that way so I think I'll be donating to the birdie's nests this spring instead. It's too bad, but if his hair was as long as yours was to begin with he and I would have had a problem. :) But I'll save it in case I misunderstood their requirements. Let me know what your hairdresser says when you get a chance. Thanks!!!... [ More ]

They will cut your hair for free if you have enough to give..I had at least 15 inches or more to cut. Since my work was forcing me to tie my hair up. I decide to get rid of them. But the timing for the hair cut was always the wrong day . So i made 4 poney tail...and had my mother cut my hair....and brough my hair to the hair dresser hoping they could use it for cancer patient.
So I will find out the adress and you can mail your hair...they will be very please of the gesture.
Florida... [ More ]

Too bad they make it so difficult to do this. 1) the hair landed on the floor and was swept up making it ineligble and 2) the amount of hair that was cut off before the haircut that didn't land on the floor was less than their 10 inch minimum requirements.
Too bad...those requirements seem purposeless.
Hair is hair, it can be washed on the head or off the head...and if it's only 8 inches long instead of 10 inches long it could still be used....and they want it braided and "clean" but... [ More ]
