If someone is kicking your door in, would you rather have A) A phone to call the cops, and a book of your state statutes against rape, robbery and murder (after all, the criminal may just be m i s u n d e r s t o o d or "not know right from wrong") ? OR B) A loaded firearm (let him explain his "troubled childhood" to whomever guards the gates of hell

Although I agree that nobody needs to own an AK-47 and I support tougher gun laws, I don't support total gun control. As others members have pointed out on other blogs this week, the conviscation of all weapons is the first step toward Fascism. Reasonable gun control, which is mentioned in this article, is exactly what we need.
