<br />My dad had bought a used 54 Chevy with 3 on the tree. He would push in the clutch, and I would shift. Same thing with his 66 Beetle. I was like 11-13 at the time. After that I was hooked.

I cut a hole in the floor board above the transmission shifter levers and installed straight rods sticking up on each lever which made two rods sticking up. Shifted the transmission that way for awhile. Had to remember what was what when driving.<br />That would have been a brain twister for a thief.
