Minstrel shows were popular in the late 19th century regardless of what people thought was a "hidden meaning" and Jingle Bells was a popular holiday season song.

A Karen on the Council Rock Primary School read an article about Jungle Bells being part of the Christy Minstrel repertoire. Must be a group of first class industrial strength Karens to conclude because white men in black face sang Jingle Bells in the middle of the 19th century, the classical Christmas song must be about slavery.

Bet they cut Stephen Foster's name and bio out of their encyclopedias too.
