The reason being is that I am diabetic and I use the smaller size as exercise for my eyes. I figure if I can continue to read my posts then I will not need to worry about my eyes until I check them in a week or so. I have an annual retinal scan to check for signs of wear and tear related to my diabetes.-weshar75
