Some of Trump's presidential records were boxed and sent to his golf course and by law required the National Archives to retrieve those records. According to the Archives, some of the Trump records taken to Mar-a-Lago were clearly marked as classified, including documents at top secret level .

Included were correspondence from Kim Jong-un and the map Mr. Trump famously drew on with a black Sharpie marker to demonstrate the track of Hurricane Dorian heading toward Alabama in 2019 to back up a declaration he had made on Twitter that contradicted weather forecasts .
