Years ago I worked in the oil patch in Nm and West Texas. . There is plenty of oil and natural gas in that area alone to suplly the US for decades. The problem has been the natural gas for years has been cheap. Not anymore. The Permian and Delaware Basin encompassing the are and are estimated to have in the reserves 5 billion barells of oil and over 19 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. There are plenty of reserves and there is no reasons for gas to be this high. There are several rigs offshore with permits that have stopped production so to drive up the demand during this shortage.... [ More ]
