Saw where the "we need more assault weapon" people are already cleverly claiming Congress voted for the confiscation their weapons. I guess they don't want anyone to notice the bill was passed September 2021 and applies to the military. Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steven C. McCraw said, “From the benefit of hindsight where I’m sitting now, of course it was not the right decision,” he said about the delay in officers entering the room. It's almost like they are saying, "we need more training; we'll do better next time".

But apparently the police didn't confront the shooter and the gunman was inside for about an hour before law enforcement officials did confront him.. It's possible the police have a real reason why they didn't, but if they do, why are they keeping it a secret?

Witnesses said parents begged officers to go into the elementary school while the gunman was inside. Good thing Border agents drove 40 miles to end the shooting rampage before even more children were killed.

Regardless whether or not all the facts are eventually known, it won't be long before the do nothing politicians will be offering their thoughts and prayers after the next mass shooting.
