"That(Bible) passage was about God creating Adam, the first man. Adam was not born from the womb, he was created by God and that's why He breathed life into him. The Bible also says that He knew us in the womb and why Democrats can't accept that babies in the womb aren't human defies logic and flies in the face of the science.<br /><br />Genesis also says He created MAN and WOMAN, two genders. It doesn't say anything about non-binary or trans this or trans that, just MAN and WOMAN"<br /><br />Th... [ More ]

“Abraham Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should therefore be slaves. Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide.”

Unless and until it can be proven that an unborn child is not a human being, can we justify assuming without proof that it isn't? No one has yet offered such proof; indeed, all the evidence is to the contrary. We should rise above bitterness and reproach, and if Americans could come together in a spirit of understanding and helping, then we could find positive solutions to the tragedy of abortion.

-

More than a decade ago, a Supreme Court decision literally wiped off the books of fifty states statutes protecting the rights of unborn children. Abortion on demand now takes the lives of up to 1.5 million unborn children a year. Human life legislation ending this tragedy will some day pass the Congress, and you and I must never rest until it does. Unless and until it can be proven that the unborn child is not a living entity, then its right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness must be protected.

-

Reagan sadly admitted that influential people have denied that each human life has intrinsic, sacred worth. This view, he explained, is part of a dismal social ethic where some human lives are valued and others are not. He traced the right to life of unborn children to the Declaration of Independence, and invoked Abraham Lincoln as the great champion of the sanctity of all human life. He insisted that the American people must educate themselves to the reality of the horrors taking place at abortion clinics.

Abortion is advocated only by persons who have been born

Simple morality dictates that unless and until someone can prove the unborn human is not alive, we must give it the benefit of the doubt and assume it is (alive). And, thus, it should be entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I have been one who believes that abortion is the taking of a human life . . . . The fact that they could not resolve the issue of when life begins was a finding in and of itself. If we don't know, then shouldn't we morally opt on the side that it is life? If you came upon an immobile body and you yourself could not determine whether it was dead or alive, I think that you would decide to consider it alive until somebody could prove it was dead. You wouldn't get a shovel and start covering it up. And I think we should do the same thing with regard to abortion.

Make no mistake, abortion-on-demand is not a right granted by the Constitution. No serious scholar, including one disposed to agree with the Court's result, has argued that the framers of the Constitution intended to create such a right.

... [ More ]
