I was serving when it started and didn't have a car. But had a '71 Maverick, '68 MGB GT, and '69 GTO Judge after that. The second embargo I had an Oldsmobile with a 425. Had to run premium gas in it. Saw a Judge on Barret Jackson or Mecum a few years back same as mine and had the coulda, shoulda's. I was there those odd even days.... at the time I was driving a 1970 Chevelle SS 396....Sunoco had like 6 grades of gas  260 was the highest octane it was around $1.80/gal fun times. Wish I'd kept it, who knew?
