Say it cost the co. $5 to make a product and it sells it for $6, they make a $1 profit. The gov't raises their taxes so it now costs the co. $6 to make each item. If they want to keep making the same $1 profit as before, they will have to raise the price $1 to make up for the tax increase. Which means now you will have to pay $7 for the same item which used to cost you $6. Raise their taxes so their products become more expensive for everyone. Brilliant idea.... [ More ]
