The planting mix in those containers dry up real quick.

The water reservoir appears to be working as the plants do not appear to be stressed like they have in the past. Still need to water them but not as frequently depending on the rain. Once a every week or two.

Last week I got a couple flowers for two planter boxes that I have. The planter boxes are about 14 inches deep and about 16 inches square. I took out half of the planting mix and added compost at a 50/50 ratio. Figure the compost should have better water retention. Plus I put 2 disposable soup bowls down about 7 inches.... [ More ]
