Not really a setback, just the inaugural run of yet another system. Coding the backtest routine might shed some light on better settings, but keeping them as is and playing the pick 3 output while working out the backtest stuff... that should be a fair evaluation.

The good... the winning numbers were not eliminated from selection. The bad... the winning numbers were not picked. The ugly... backtesting for max and min gaps is up next on the drawing board.

The mid day draw was 889... had 489... almost don't pay anything, but I think the settings are in the ballpark!
