One thing I've been hearing for many years is "how can you live here in the summer?' Florida is actually cooler and less humid than many places in July & August. It rarely reaches 100 and we have cooling showers in the afternoon. The reason I don't like the heat is that it's hot all year. I am so sick of air conditioning. I use fans a lot of the time instead, but it's too muggy without running the air when the temperature outside is over 90. Well at least the sky is a pretty shade of blue and the sunsets are very pretty.... [ More ]
