			<description><![CDATA[<p>Jarasan, I know he ran as a Republican, probably because he wouldn&#x27;t have been able to win the presidential election on the Whig ticket.  He was a Whig for longer than he was a Republican.  In any case, he said a lot of memorable words that have been quoted throughout history.  Since this blog was written about happiness, I&#x27;ll smile and say &#x22;Don&#x27;t worry, be happy.&#x22;  However, Lincoln has been given way too much credit.  I wonder how history will remember our current president.  The 2 have many similarities.
