I agree, Elizabeth. The strangest thing for me is when I give a snappy answer and the person doesn't realize I was kidding. Ex: I was waiting for a friend and a man started looking at me and asked "may I join you?" So I answered "Am I coming apart?" No reaction. I tried it again when I was with another woman sitting at a "bar" (like a TJI Fridays) waiting to be seated. He asked "May I join you ladies?" I said "That's okay. We were separated at birth." Nothing. Maybe I'm just not funny. :-(... [ More ]

I never heard of this person. When I read your post, for some reason I thought of one of the muppets. Wouldn't it be interesting (scary) if someone could see us watching TV? In the movie Pleasantville, Don Knotts plays an evil character who talks to the 2 young people through the TV set.
