Simple process after I located the square tip driver for the bracket screws.

Removed screws and gently pulled out exposing the wire connection which is a flat pull off and push on, Connected new element coil and reinsalled it to back of oven wall. Tested after installation works like new.

Total cost about $26.00.

The old element coil was really bad as it broke apsrt into two or three pieces.

The internet tells me that an oven coil will last from 5 to 10 years depending on usage. The old oven coil has been in use for about 12 or 13 years.

I never really looked but the old coil may have been giving off poor heat distribution the past few years.... [ More ]
