* l love the Samsung Notes. Had a Note 19 or 20 a few years ago & lost it. Switched to an Apple after that incident. Those Samsung phones are warriors.

The metric I have always used is "does the device still do what I want it to do?" I had to get a new Samsung Galaxy S25 because Chevrolet decided to stop supporting older Android devices. The phone it replaced was a Galaxy Note 8 (10 years old). I still have the phone (zero trade value) and it still works. I also have a 10 year old laptop that keeps up with my coding activities, in no hurry to replace that!

* l know of folks who still have flip phones from 10-15 years ago, that they say are still going strong. Why try & fix something that isn’t broken!
