Thanks Maddog. We saw more and more regulations being heaped on like a clown car. I hope we're going back to common sense with all regulations.

Some of these regulations for farmers are just so far outdated it's pathetic. Government shouldn't be tying the hands of these farmers, LET them be farmers!

Thanks JAP. I was able to post an additional link above about farm equipment. Yes farmers need to be able to make repairs in the field and get on with the business of farming. They don't need to be dealing with proprietary dealer only repairs coupled with cow farts. And people wonder why food costs are rising.

What they tried to pull off where only dealers could fix stuff is a monopoly.

A piece of farm equipment breaks down in the field they want it fixed now not days or weeks from now.

Dealers charge big money to fix something.

Thanks Think. I've watched similar videos about new consumer appliances such as fridges, dishwashers designed to fail, while some built in the 60's-70's still work fine. However I saw or read that some brands of new large farm equipment manufacturers were specifically requiring the equipment to be brought into a dealer for repair. Makes no sense for things like combines and tractors. Additionally some new chainsaws had the same issue, that forestry users could not service them in the field. Speculation on my part but imagine the above is what just got rolled back to common sense.... [ More ]
