I agree that getting anyone to switch methods is difficult, but we operate (especially myself) from a strictly unemotional view. It doesn't matter if I win or lose any given day. It is just a spreadsheet where I have to fill in the results. Many lottery and many more gamblers in general get a high or buzz after a win. They also get depressed or feel differently on a loss. I personally don't have a question per se. But, i think there's an argument that could be made for both methods. I guess, depending on which side of the fence one might be sitting when it comes on to either methods of number selection it can be very hard to convince either party that their method is better than the other person's. So far, we haven't tracked any differences between the states using random generators vs mechanical balls. Some believe that the random generator can be programmed to draw numbers that pay the least amount. With a past of lottery scandals, including PA 666 and Eddie Tipton, it is no doubt there will be skeptics re random generator.

Now, if it were to be programmed, chances are it would have more NON birthday numbers becaus birthdays are the most popular of wagers. No one has a June 31, and NO one has a birthday on the 32nd of any month. So it stands to reason if they were programmed one would want to have several numbers above 32 on their wheels.

As of now, we haven't seen any differences manifested, but with more and more states going to random number generators, we want to keep a close eye in case something develops.
