Have not done anything on completion since last post. The only thing done is the purchase of the new toilet about 2 weeks ago which is sitting in the spare bedroom in the box yet. Will install when the moon and stars are lined up correctly.

Made a final decision on the vanity. Purchasing this one https://www.homedepot.com/p/24-in-W-x-16-in-D-x32-in-H-2-Doors-Bathroom-Vanity-in-White-with-White-Ceramic-Sink-COM-US10YWP-61E-410/322328426#see-more-details .

Went with this one as it has the ceramic sink top with bowl. Read too many drawbacks of cultured and engineered marble. My daughter has a vanity with cultured marble top and has a stain she can not remove. She does not particularly care for it. Ceramic is an age old product.

What I will do with the vanity when I install it is raise it off the floor about 3/16 of an inch and seal the bottom with silicone caulk and make sure the floor panel is properly ventilated to circulate air under the floor panel. I will also purchase a drip pan to place on the floor of the cabinet to catch any leaks that may occur over time.... [ More ]
