It's a hairy situation. I had to comb through a lot of scenarios before I realized what I was doing... by rinsing with warm water. The blade dulled faster, thus the root of the problem at hand. There were gray areas too.

<br />Shaving in the shower with a dull Daisy and using bath soap as a shaving cream...man, that's just not right.

thanks.you read my mind.here lately every time i shaved i wondred if i was doing it right by rinsing it with hot water while i shaved.i'm glad i read this because i do use on razor for a while.now i'll use cold water.i too use the 3 blade.mine lasted me about 3 months.i shave once a week.i'll grow it out a week and then shave it.

Truecritic, the only blade I've used that gets that amount of life is the Mach 3 Turbo. I've been using the same blade for over two months now.

How long does a regular disposable Gillette (or other) razor last for men shaving their face?<br /><br />I can get 30 days (30 shaves) - sometimes doesn't quite get that many but then around 3 weeks (21 shaves). That is using hot water to rinse the blade (not having heard of your cold water trick, until now).
