Venus leaves charming, relationship-minded Libra and enters the deep waters of Scorpio on September 10, 2026 . But this year, Venus has unfinished business.

When Venus travels through Scorpio, love isn't casual. We crave depth, passion, loyalty, intimacy and emotional truth . Attraction can become magnetic. We aren't as interested in what's pleasant on the surface we want to know what's underneath it.

Venus in Scorpio wants the connection that makes you stop thinking about everyone else in the room.

But there's a twist.

Venus reaches 8 Scorpio and turns retrograde on October 3 , beginning a journey backward through territory she has just crossed. On October 25 , retrograde Venus slips back into Libra, returning our attention to questions of partnership, balance, fairness and what we truly value in our relationships. Venus turns direct again in late Libra on November 13 (Eastern Time) .

Then comes the final act.

On December 4 , Venus returns to Scorpio this time moving forward and remains there until January 7, 2027 . Or the 8th depending where on the globe you are.

Astrologically, this creates a fascinating story:

Libra asks: Do we belong together?

Scorpio asks: But how deep does this really go?

Retrograde asks: Are you sure?

And when Venus returns to Scorpio: Now that you know... what are you going to do about it?

During the retrograde, old loves, unresolved feelings, questions of trust, jealousy, intimacy, self-worth, money and relationship dynamics can come back into focus. It doesn't necessarily mean an old lover will return it can just as easily mean an old emotional pattern returns so that you finally recognize it.

Venus in Scorpio doesn't have much patience for superficial connections. She wants honesty. She wants trust. She wants intimacy. And when she loves, she tends to love all the way.
