I'm not sure if time*treat told me not to post on this any more, so I won't get into a long discussion, Rick. However, the middle class will pay the price, not the poor. The poor will get rebates, the rich will save a fortune on income tax & still have their loopholes like they always do. The average retailer will be the tax police too. Soooo much paperwork. I hope the WY & NH primaries go in favor of the candidate who understands that no one has ever been taxed INTO prosperity.

The pristine beauty of this approach is that it eliminates tax deductions, write-offs, money laundering and a whole lot of other ways that taxation is being avoided mostly by wealthy people and criminals. We'd save billions of dollars and millions of wasted hours trying to comply with the most complicated tax system that could ever have been devised. It's a no-brainer.
