As I was watching this, I was amazed of the vast knowledge this guy had, and how he backed up every single one of them as he went on with the presentation. He systematically shows how it's all lies that started decades ago. Not only with earth warming but many other doomsday falacies that eventually fizzled out.

I'm not saying this movie is the end all, but you can make a much better and intelligent decision when you have all the facts, not just buzz words.

As far as... [ More ]
Mike, sorry you think your future looks so dim. I'm a lot older and I wonder everyday if I should work for 10 more years or just figure soc sec won't be there anyway and find a village in South America to spend my Golden Years. (I would still need money however!) Be a beacon of light for your children and just do the best you can. They can grow up learning how to care without listening to all the gloom & doom. I think we really need to get back to nature a little anyway.... [ More ]
This is one reason I failed that global warming test of Todd's. (what? Last week? When was it?) Anyway, I believed it to be due to the greenhouse gases. The options didn't allow for that answer. I may not know much about how things like that work, but that new "green bag" sold on tv which helps slow down the green gases on food that we store looks to be a great place to start for a possible defense against such a future as you mentioned lottomike. I wish I knew who to tell that to,... [ More ]

Agree! Mike, most of the energy consumed is by industry. I mean, we have water restrictions because of the terrible drought. But drive by a golf course some day and see the sprinklers going. If I don't run the air conditioning, it isn't because I'm afraid of global warming, it's because I'm trying to keep my electric bill down! However, whenever I'm uncomfortable I use it. Just move down here and walk into a grocery store or a mall. They are so cold you need to put on a sweater. It's ridiculous! Then we are asked to turn up the thermostats. CA is talking about state controlled thermostats. That's scary and the beginning of fascism. Let's keep the government out of our bedrooms. Still, no matter what I think, it's so obvious that our world is in trouble. I always dreamed about going to Madagascar and now 90% of the forest has been cut down. Same with so many places. We need to protect our wetlands and our ecosystem. We need to stop litter and recycle before there's no place to dump our trash. I don't think that the working person needs to spend a lot of money on fancy light bulbs (I get 4 for $1 at the Dollar Tree) I have 2 lights burning now, 40 watts each. Big deal. However, if the government wants to give me some new flourescent bulbs for $1, I'll use them! We do take some things for granted - paper is one. Lately, all the new products on TV are disposable. Swiffer dusting wipe, Clorox sanitizing wipes, Olay facial cloths, cloths to remove this or that. What ever happened to a wash cloth? A rag? Individual bottles of water are also a waste of plastic (and money.) Okay. I'll stop. :-)... [ More ]

Just because we are experiencing some cool weather does not mean the Earth isn't getting hotter. Whether or not we are the major cause of this, I can't say. However, let's say you have a disease. You might get fevers once in a while and then your temperature is normal. A month later you might get pneumonia, but it then clears up and you feel fine for a few months. Then you get headaches, stomach aches and eventually your fever rises and you die. Why? Because every time you felt a little better people said "you don't look sick to me!"... [ More ]
