Reddog, I don't own my place. I am planning to move in the very near future. There is no security at all here. I really like my street and I enjoy looking at the stars at night, but there aren't any street lights and so many people have moved that it's becoming deserted. Florida Exodus.

I reccommend Sig Sauer Arms, lots o' training, and not talking about what you have or don't have in your home. I didn't look at the article but I would guess these invaders knew what they had and were targeted. Home defense should be layered, with option to bail.

**This happened right next door to my house and I was home the whole time.. Didn't hear a thing nor did other neighbors in the surrounding homes who were also home. Sorry to disappoint the perennial " it's the illegals" crowd but the offenders spoke English without an accent and had been watching the house for weeks. Tenaj, I know guns were stolen, but as I wrote on my post, unless we walk around wearing holsters and shoot each other like in the Wild West, it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. The element of surprise is very effective. The news said they had several guns, which makes me suspicious. However, some people are gun collectors (or hunters) and the word "several" can be misleading. My Dad wouldn't kill a bug, but we always had a gun in the house. Now they're reporting 4 m... [ More ]

At least the couple wasn't hurt. I'm not saying the incident wasn't horrible, but it could have been worse.
