A great many consumers purchase with credit. It runs in cycles credit does. Get maxed out , no more purchases until you pay back . No more credit they need to buy with cash which is probably scarce when paying back money. My motto. If you can afford the payment you can save for it. If you can not afford to save for it you can not afford the payments. It's a have now thing.

It's a ploy to get rid of the middle class. Then there will only be the poor and the elite who will finally have what they've been working so hard for in the past 50 years. I just spent the last 2 days looking for truck driving jobs, calling everywhere, but they either want atleast 2 years experience or are laying off existing workers. Fuhrer Bush is zaying ze U.S. is not headed into rezession (check ze newz wirez). You troublemakers looking at Labor dept. numbers, housing foreclosure rates, commodity price rises and the like - will be required to report to DHS for an increase in your dosage of repugnican kool-aid. Perhapz a veekend at Spa Gitmo vill help your morale.

Regarding slowing down the economy, after 2 very big rate cuts, we're still in trouble and people aren't spending. So why does the Fed think another rate cut will help? The Federal Reserve should have been shut down a long time ago anyway. The whole system is a joke. Yes, our dollar is trash.
