Hi LottoMike...glad to see you back. I've been reading post where everyone was asking different ones were you okay! I don't know anything about those bulbs. Just wanted to say welcome back! :)

I have about ten of those bulbs in use in my basement and probably 5 or 6 more in use in the upper part of the house. My electric bill for the past month was less than $100.00 with all electric appliances and running the central air conditioner day and night for the entire month. About six years ago, (when electric was cheaper), I had a large window air conditioner and 60 W bulbs in the basement, 75 to 100 W bulbs upstairs, and can remember some electric bills in excess of $200.... They're really not dangerous. The amount of mercury in the bulbs is no different then the mercury in a regular flourescent light bulb -- actually there is less because of the smalller size. I like to use them in places that are not easy to change the light, where the quality of the light is no so important, or where I don't need to use a dimmer. me and my uncle were talking and he said that his wife was worried because my uncle busted one of those compact fluorescent bulbs in their bedroom and she said it had mercury in it.funny thing is he was trying to get me to buy some and i was going to go get them but now i am thinking twice.are these bulbs dangerous?
