I wasn't downgrading Hillary and I do respect her because she is smart. I just had never heard of one political candidate helping another one pay their campaign bills. I gave 25.00 to Obama's campaign and I have never given to any political campaign before. How do we help her pay her bill down? Do we give to her directly or what?

Justxploring said it all LittleOldLady...the only thing I'd like to add is this...If Obama get elected (and I think he will) he can always be empeached if he messes up! Give the man a chance. I think he's going to do a great job. We can't get anyone in the white house any worse than George W. Bush who needed to be empeached, and wasn't!!!

It is very common for a presidential nominee to help pay down the debt of another candidate, especially a frontrunner like her. Sen Clinton got over 18 million votes and he needs her support as well. What he is doing to help her is not unusual. The media is just making a big deal out of it this time. If you think about it, if only 200,000 donors (the size of a city) give $50 it will pay off $10 million. So if all of the people who voted for Obama sent $1, her entire debt would just about be cleared. Also, that $2,300 maximum is not a lot of money to some people and those are the people he is appealing to. Hillary Clinton wrote Obama a check for $2,300 to show her support. Your past comments make it obvious you don't like Senator Clinton, but IMHO she really won and he knows it. He knows that without her backing him up, he'll have a much steeper hill to climb in November. In the political world, $20 million isn't really all that much. In Hollywood some actors/directos make more than that filming one picture. However, he cannot take any of his campaign money and contribute it to Senator Clinton, because it was not donated to her campaign. The people need to make their own choices. Frankly, I find the cost of campaigning in this country mind-boggling when people are loses their homes and don't have gas to get to work or food on their tables.... [ More ]
