I thought the answer was about 4 or 5 miles on a clear day, but fog & rain could limit that too. Is there really a definitive answer? I learned years ago that it was about 7 miles. He claims it's 6 miles. I didn't have a working computer until today, so I couldn't google it. Now that I have a working computer, I'm getting the run around with different searches. Too many long winded mathematical explanations.
