I occasionally frequent Craigslist to see what bands or musicians are seeking, so that an interesting one might make me want to call and hook up.

Out of most of the posts, I found the following to be pretty hilarious. Especially the last sentence.....lol I can relate. This town blows....

I'm a lead singer/rhythm guitarist and I want to get a record deal. Do you? I need a drummer,lead guitarist,bassist and maybe even some keys. I'm not big headed at all but I do know that when it comes to talented rock singers around here I'm one of the best. I'm with a band right now but I don't know if they have what it takes. I'm looking to do a little mix up of sounds. Style influences include classic rock(zeppelin,styx,van halen,queen)alt rock(My Chemical Romance,audioslave,foo fighters,tool,disturbed) and I even like some hip hop.(by hip hop I just mean the beats).I'm 22, so I need other musicians who are around the same age.18-30 please. No old people. Sorry grandpa's. When it comes to drummers I want someone with Tool talent. I'm not really into alot of cymbals, I like hearing drums. When it comes to bass maybe someone who can collaborate strongly with the percussion and rhythm guitar, who can handle sick ass bass solos. Lead guitar is definately key in this, I need a LEAD GUITARIST, someone who is more interested in making the song than taking the song.Jimmy Page-ish/Slash-ish/someone with a knowledge of classic with a newer twist. I want experienced people who all have stage presence and when not on stage manage to stay humble. But by all means be as y as you want on stage, I wanna rock audiences and leave a lasting impression.Anyways hit me up if your interested. Lets make music history, and get the hell outta this god forsaken area.
